Accreditation Program.
Surgery is the tool that helps individuals lose weight and maintain their weight loss. Emerson’s Surgical Weight Loss Program offers two options for minimally invasive surgery—gastric bypass and gastric banding (also known as lap-band surgery). Each is proven to be safe and effective.
Our three experienced surgeons have performed more than 700 weight loss procedures. The program’s rate of complications is very low—a sign of technical quality, as well as a commitment to high quality patient care, education and support for individuals, from their first appointment through their follow-up care after surgery. The program’s team, including a nurse practitioner, mental health practitoner and dietitian, provide all the guidance and assistance a person might need.
