For a Littleton family, Father’s Day was made extra special this year as they welcomed their second child, a son, born at Emerson Hospital. Dante Chang Cannistraro was born to JoAnn Chang, MD and David Cannistraro on Sunday, June 21 at 8:39 a.m., weighing in at seven pounds, eight ounces and measuring 20.1 inches long.
“This made Father’s Day so special, every seven years Dante will share his birthday with Father’s Day,” said proud father David. Dante joins his big sister Penelope who is two years old.
Born before his July first due date, Dante was delivered by Christina Thomas, MD of Concord OB/GYN Associates. His parents chose to deliver him at the Emerson Hospital Clough Birthing Center because of the hospital’s excellent reputation.
“Everyone has been great, it’s been a wonderful experience,” said Dr. Chang, who is an ophthalmologist with D’Ambrosio Eye Care in Acton, part of the Emerson family. Shortly after his birth, Dante and his family had lots of visitors for Father’s Day.
