Trevor Sinclair, Information Systems Support Engineer at Emerson Hospital, was recently named the 2015 Most Valuable Person of the Year at Emerson Hospital by his colleagues and leaders of the hospital. He was honored for his commitment to going above and beyond his role to ensure the computer systems at Emerson are running smoothly and that end users are supported at all hours of the day and night. Trevor began working on the Information Systems team at Emerson five years ago, moving from New Hampshire to Acton to take the position.
The Information Systems team works to ensure the technology and communications infrastructure of the hospital runs well, every minute, every day of the week. The team diagnoses and fixes computer issues, runs the helpdesk, and makes updates and upgrades to technology infrastructure to ensure the hospital is using the most advanced technology to aid healthcare processes and communications.
“Trevor is a very hard worker and a wonderful person who makes his colleagues feel calm during stressful situations,” said Christine Schuster, president and CEO of Emerson Hospital. “He goes out of his way to ensure that the computers and technology are all running well, through perseverance and a deep knowledge of his field. He is very deserving of the Most Valuable Person of the Year as so many people at Emerson rely on him to keep their systems running effectively. We are honored to have Trevor on our team.”
Often Trevor will stay working on a project until it is completely fixed, long after his workday ends. His favorite parts about his job are interacting with a wide variety of people in different departments throughout the hospital, and the sense of satisfaction he gets out of fixing particularly challenging technology issues. Before Emerson, Trevor worked at his family’s computer company.
