John Cahoy, MD, recently joined Orthopedic Affiliates and is accepting new pediatric and adult patients at 54 Baker Avenue Extension, Suite 200 in Concord and at Emerson’s Westford Health Center, 133 Littleton Road, Suite 104 in Westford. His clinical interests include comprehensive pediatric orthopedic services, pediatric upper and lower extremity fractures, pediatric and adult foot and ankle injuries and deformities, treatment of athletic injuries and non-operative management of adolescent scoliosis and spine conditions.
Dr. Cahoy earned his medical degree and Ph.D. in developmental biology from Stanford University. He completed his fellowship in pediatric orthopedics at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Prior to that, he completed an internship in the Johns Hopkins Hospital Department of Orthopedics and his residency in orthopedics at the Harvard Combined Orthopedic Residency Program.
Dr. Cahoy is an accomplished swimmer. He was Captain of the University of Minnesota Swimming and Diving Team and was a USA Swimming national champion and a member of the US National Team, competing as a member of Team USA at the Goodwill Games and the World University Games. He also competed on the Stanford University cycling team at the national level through the National Collegiate Cycling Association.

My experiences as an elite athlete influenced my decision to become an orthopedic surgeon and guide my treatment and recovery goals for my patients who are athletes or who enjoy being active,” said Dr. Cahoy. “I have strong relationships with local pediatricians, Emerson’s Emergency Department, and its Center for Rehabilitative and Sports Therapies, allowing me to treat patients in a comprehensive, team-approach way. I look forward to working with my patients and their families to help them recover fully.”
