Emerson Hospital’s Main Street Gallery is now featuring the work of artist Margaret Wailes of Concord through March 12. Margaret uses a variety of mediums in her art, including watercolor, oils, and collages. Her engaging pieces feature native flowers, pastoral scenes, and waterfronts.
Auxiliary member Cynthia Spiers of Concord worked with Margaret to hang her pieces up in the Gallery, saying, “Margaret’s work is a welcome addition to the Main Street Gallery. Her colorful compositions add a light, bright feel to the main hallway at Emerson. They are a nice respite in these long winter months!”
The Auxiliary of Emerson Hospital presents the Main Street Gallery which features rotating exhibits by local artists and photographers throughout the year. Each image is for sale with proceeds supporting Emerson’s programs and services. The Gallery is located in the main hallway of Emerson Hospital and is open to the public for viewing at any time. If you are interested in purchasing one of the images, please visit the Community Services office at Emerson Hospital, located across the hall from the Gallery, or email EmersonAuxiliary@gmail.com.
