Two new members were recently elected to the Emerson Hospital Board of Directors. Christopher Coloian of Carlisle and Eileen Deignan, MD of Chestnut Hill, joined the Board of Directors for a three-year term. Emerson’s Directors come from the local communities served by the hospital, and provide guidance and oversight to ensure that the hospital is fulfilling its mission to provide high quality care to the residents in its 25-town service area.

Christopher Coloian is Chief Solutions Officer of Welltok, a health information technology company with offices in Burlington, Massachusetts. He has a Masters in Health Administration from The Ohio State University, is a member of the Knights of Columbus, an editor of Population Health Management Journal and is on the Board of Directors of Regents Surgical.  Christopher is the past Chairman of the Board of Population Health Alliance. He has been a Corporator of Emerson Hospital since 2014.

Eileen Deignan, MD is a Board-certified dermatologist, a partner at Dermatology Associates of Concord, and has been a member of the Emerson Medical Staff since 1999. She is the Treasurer of the Emerson Hospital Medical Staff, Associate Chair of the Credentials Committee, and has been the Chief of Dermatology since 2007. Dr. Deignan holds leadership positions in the Massachusetts Academy of Dermatology, the New England Dermatological Society, and the American Academy of Dermatology. She also serves on the Emerson Foundation Board.

“I am very pleased to welcome Christopher and Eileen to the Board,” said Christine Schuster, President and CEO of Emerson. “They are both well-respected leaders in their professions.
