Emerson Hospital is honored to be named one of America’s Best Hospitals for Patient Safety in 2017 by the Women’s Choice Award, a national referral source for women. This is the only patient safety award that identifies the country’s best healthcare institutions based on criteria that considers female patient satisfaction and clinical excellence. The designation is the second time in a row that Emerson Hospital received the honor.

Emerson was chosen to receive the honor among hospitals throughout the United States based on its performance in patient safety as measured by infection-related and surgical safety data from The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). In the last several years, Emerson has implemented cutting-edge staff trainings and technology, such as nurse managers using an iPad-enabled real-time rounding application with patients, all of which have a direct impact on increased patient safety.
