The Emerson Wellness Center for Mind and Body is offering a Tong Ren class starting May 4. Tong Ren is based on a belief that disease is related to interruptions in the body’s natural flow of chi, and seeks to remove these blockages, restoring the body’s natural ability to heal itself. By using a small magnetic hammer, participants will learn how to administer Tong Ren therapy to heal their body.
The Tong Ren Therapy class meets on Thursdays from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at the Emerson Wellness Center for Mind and Body, located at 310 Baker Avenue in Concord, near the new Residence Inn hotel. Free parking is available in the office park. The cost is $112 for an 8-week session and drop-in options are available.
Taught by Ming Wu, PhD, a third-generation herbalist who has studied Traditional Chinese Medicine, Quigong and Tai Chi for four decades. Dr. Wu has dedicated his life to healing and teaching others how to live well.
