New Pediatrician Joins Pediatrics West

Dr. Behzad Goharfar Now Accepting New Patients 

Behzad Goharfar, MD, FAAP, recently joined Pediatrics West and is accepting new pediatric patients at 10 Pierce Avenue, Fitchburg. He is board-certified in pediatrics.

“I am excited to be part of Pediatrics West because we have a great team of providers, nurses, and staff who are committed to supporting children and their families with respect and compassion,” said Dr. Goharfar.

Dr. Goharfar earned his medical degree and board of pediatrics credentials from Tehran University of Medical Sciences in Iran. He completed a residency in pediatrics at Harlem Hospital Center, in affiliation with Columbia University. In addition, he worked as a general pediatrician at the Mayo Clinic Health System in Minnesota for six years. His clinical interests include: primary care, allergy, asthma, infectious diseases, developmental concerns, mental health, clinical hypnosis, and coordination of care for complex medical conditions.

Dr. Goharfar is fluent in English and Farsi. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, New England Society of Clinical Hypnosis, and the Mayo Clinic Alumni Association.
