In an emergency or a crisis situation, the help given by an immediate responder can often make the difference between life and death, even before professional rescuers arrive. This free training can help save lives.
What: Emerson Hospital is hosting a free Stop the Bleed, Save a Life training. The session will cover the immediate response to bleeding, how to recognize life-threatening bleeding, appropriate ways to stop the bleeding and hands-on training with tourniquets to help reduce bleeding. The training is open to the public who may witness or be involved in home injuries, work-related injuries, motor vehicle crashes, mass shootings or bombings. You do not need to be a healthcare provider to attend.
When: Wednesday, September 5, from 9–11 a.m.
Where: Emerson Hospital’s Cheney Conference Room, 133 Old Road to Nine Acre Corner, Concord, Mass.
