Emerson Hospital’s commitment to outstanding quality and safe patient care was honored recently by three independent health and safety organizations.
The Leapfrog Group gave Emerson another A grade for patient safety. This highest mark is given only to hospitals that achieve excellence in all key patient safety measures, from admission through discharge. This comes on the heels of Emerson’s “Top Hospital in the U.S.” designation by the Leapfrog Group, an honor that only six hospitals in the state earned for outstanding quality and patient safety.
Healthgrades, a leader in health care transparency, selected Emerson to receive the 2022 Patient Safety Excellence Award. Only 5 percent of hospitals in the country earn this award based on the lowest occurrences of preventable patient safety events.
In addition, the Women’s Choice Award health care referral source named Emerson a Best Hospital in the categories of overall patient safety, bariatrics, comprehensive breast centers, mammogram imaging, obstetrics, and orthopedics. Emerson’s hospital patient experience and quality scores ranked among the highest in the country.
