Fun & Healthy Mocktails

As summer ends, consider a fun, creative, and refreshing treat: mocktails! Alcohol-free mocktails offer a healthier alternative to cocktails, without the risks of liver damage and addiction. The delicious drinks incorporate fresh fruits, herbs, and natural juices, providing a rich source of vitamins and antioxidants. They often have less calories than alcoholic beverages, supporting your weight and overall health. 

Be creative! Try mocktails with different fruit juices depending on your taste. Here are some recipes to get you started:  

Minty Mango Mocktail

 

Makes one serving (glass)

Ingredients

  • 1 tbs fresh mint 

  • Ice 

  • Mango juice 

  • Ginger beer or ginger ale 

Instructions

  1. Gently muddle 1 tbs of fresh mint leaves in the bottom of a tall glass. 

  1. Add ice and fill the glass about one-quarter of the way with mango juice. 

  1. Top the drink off with ginger beer/ ginger ale  

  1. Stir together and garnish with a sprig of fresh mint.

Watermelon Mint Mocktail

 

Makes one serving (glass)

Ingredients

  • 3 fresh mint leaves  

  • ¾ cup watermelon juice 

  • ½ cup club soda 

  • Ice 

  • Small watermelon slice  

Instructions

  1. Mash 2 mint leaves in bottom of large glass with muddler 

  1. Fill glass one-third full of ice; add ¾ cup of watermelon juice 

  1. Top with ½ cup of club soda 

  1. Garnish with small watermelon slice and mint leaf
