Having a baby at Emerson Hospital is a very special experience. Emerson’s nutrition team helps make the experience extra sweet with desserts to celebrate!
Many moms who gave birth at Emerson remember the dessert cart that a nutritionist brought by each weekday afternoon with an array of desserts that new moms and their partner could choose from. Due to health and safety during the pandemic, we needed to suspend the dessert cart. With safety in mind, ingenuity and a determination to continue to provide delectable treats to Emerson moms, the desserts have returned! Maternity patients and their partners may now select a special dessert from the food menu each day.
Dessert options include:
Salted Almond Caramel Cheesecake — delicious cheesecake covered in a rich caramel sauce, topped with toasted and salted almond pieces, and a crisp graham cracker crust.
Key Lime Bomb Cake — smooth and refreshing layers of most cake and key lime cream, complemented by a lemon ganache coating.
The Ganache Cake — rich chocolate bundt cake filled with thick chocolate ganache that melts when heated, transforming it into a decadent lava cake.
The Vanilla Cupcake — vanilla cake infused and frosted with vanilla bean buttercream, topped with a sweet white chocolate candy that melts in your mouth.
