The innovative tool helps surgeons create a personalized surgical plan using a 3D model of the joint for each patient’s unique anatomy. During the procedure, the surgeon will utilize that plan and make any necessary adjustments while guiding the robotic arm to perform the surgery.

The incredible accuracy of the Mako SmartRobotics technology allows surgeons to know more and cut less, thereby protecting healthy bone. Benefits for patients include faster recovery with less pain than traditional joint replacements.
