Experience
Mr. Poirier graduated from Boston University in 2018 with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Upon completing his doctorate, he was accepted into the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions (MGH IHP) Clinical Residency in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy, during which he worked at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Since residency, he continues his role as a lab instructor for Doctorate of Physical Therapy students and current orthopaedic residents at MGH IHP. He is an active participant for the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) of MA Pain Special Interest Group (SIG) and serves as a mentor in-clinic, as well as through the APTA of MA Early Professional SIG. Mr. Poirier utilizes contemporary pain neuroscience combined with strength and conditioning principles to help patients reach their maximal athletic potential, instill mental and physical strength during recovery from injuries, and help people of all abilities lead active lifestyles.
