Orthopedics and sports rehabilitation, manual therapy, post-surgical rehabilitation, injury prevention

Mr. Thornton graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2007 with a bachelor’s in exercise physiology and in 2010 with a doctorate in physical therapy. He has multiple years of experience in orthopedics and sports medicine treatment with Emerson, along with previous orthopedic experience through Kaiser Permanente of Southern California. He is also a certified strength and conditioning specialist. He is a member of the spine and sports medicine care teams at Emerson. Mr. Thornton utilizes evidence-based manual therapy and therapeutic exercise approaches with education to return patients to function.
