About Me
I am fellowship/specialty-trained in surgery for weight loss and upper digestive disorders such as gastroesophageal reflux, paraesophageal/hiatal hernias, and achalasia and am certified by the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. During my residency program at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, I served as the administrative chief resident and was awarded the 2013 House Staff Excellence in Teaching award and the 2014 Arthur A. Aufses Sr. Award, which is designated to a single graduating chief resident in recognition of excellence in clinical surgery and teaching. While at the Tufts University School of Medicine, I was recognized for achievement in the art and skill of the doctor/patient relationship. In 2021 and 2022,
I was named a Top Doctor by Boston Magazine.
