About Me
Dr. Illanes comes to Emerson Health with many years of experience. He has been a practicing urogynecologist for over 12 years and is currently Medical Director of Urogynecology at Milford Regional Medical Center. Previously, he served as Chair of OB/GYN at Reliant Medical Group, Chief of OB/GYN at Saint Vincent Hospital and Division Director of Urogynecology at Tufts Medical Center. He is also an assistant professor of OB/GYN at Tufts University School of Medicine.

Dr. Illanes described his passion for his work:
“I became a urogynecologist to help women live healthy, active lives. I love my work because I see patients progress in their quality of life and do things they previously were not able to. I work closely with my patients so they understand they are not alone and that relief is available. It is gratifying to normalize pelvic floor care and help people understand how it results in overall better health.”
