Our clinical laboratory is open 24/7 to provide accurate and timely analysis for everything from basic blood tests to complex pathologic studies — giving your doctor important information with which to diagnose you and ensure you get the best care possible.

pathologists, lab technicians and technologists, our expert team uses today’s most sophisticated lab technology and analytics.
The laboratory services we provide
Emerson’s main lab is located within Emerson Hospital in Concord, Mass., and features:
- Six major state-of-the-art clinical capabilities: chemistry, microbiology, blood bank, hematology/coagulation, comprehensive anatomic pathology/histology and cytology
- Three support departments: phlebotomy, specimen processing and lab administration/information systems
- State-of-the-art instrumentation to dissect tissue specimens, examine slides and identify cancer cells, among other pathologies
