Emerson Health is embarking on the largest investment in its history to ensure our patients and the region have the best in clinical services, close to home. The $100+ million multi-year investment, supported by $50+ million in philanthropy, will dramatically impact the delivery of health services in the region by:

  • Enhancing access to community-based care through expanded specialty services
  • Transforming the experience for all Emergency Department patients
  • Offering more single inpatient rooms and building additional outpatient clinical space to meet the healthcare needs of the region

The expansion of our clinical services, in particular advanced cancer care, cardiac care, emergency care, women’s health, gastroenterology, bariatrics/weight loss, orthopedics/sports medicine, urology, behavioral health and surgical services, will enhance access to our clinical centers of care.

In the first phase of our project we will build a new Emergency Department and outpatient care building in the current location of the Community Agency Building and the White House.

The Emergency Department (ED) will now be a new state of the art 18,000 square-foot department, which will improve safety, patient flow, and the experience for patients, staff, and visitors through:

  • Enhanced care of all patients with single rooms with increased treatment space to safely accommodate families, clinicians, and equipment
  • A dedicated secure behavioral health unit within the ED
  • A dedicated radiology service adjacent to the new ED
  • Improved access and parking
  • Separate patient and ambulance entrances

Join us in creating the healthcare delivery system we want for our region. This investment requires everyone to do their part, from annual sustained giving to seven-figure transformational gifts. Thank you for partnering with us on this bold vision to transform our regional healthcare for years to come.
